This is simply a guide; feel free to switch out for different plants, but be sure to stick to size and height as this will change the overall look.

Helpful Tips From Jason:

1) Using a wood planter? Make sure you’re diligent about watering as the wood will absorb some of the moisture and the soil will dry up twice as fast.
2) Find a high-quality potting mix as it will retain water well and keep your plants hydrated.
3) Opt for a variety of plants in different heights to add interest. Play around with them to see what looks best. Remember the three basics for container gardening: Start with your “thriller,” then your “filler,” and finish off with your “spiller.”
4) Consider adding a water-soluble fertilizer to your watering can once a week. It’ll keep your plants looking healthy and fresh.
5) Looking for a one-and-done fertilizer? Opt for a slow release 14-14-14 one, which will give the plants enough nutrients to last the duration of the growing season.
